For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:16

In one of our Destiny series, someone asked me, “If any destiny is to mature into fullness of Christ, what is the key to getting there?” Well, the answer is what I want us to meditate on here today. The Bible never leaves us in the dark; it is always enlightening if we care to seek.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:2

From the Scripture here it is apparent that renewing our minds is the key to our transformation. To transform means to metamorphose; to change into something else other than what we are. We change, grow, become different even as change happens in our mind. Now, our mind is the very engine room of our faculties; the driver/decoder of our senses, a gate and principal tool for our spirits. In the natural, when someone loses his mind, he or she is referred to as being mad. Such a person begins to live in a different world altogether. And in some really bad cases, the individual’s body becomes abnormal. The fellow can eat trash from a garbage bin without any hurt. Why? The mind has been negatively altered.

Now think about the possibilities of having your mind positively renewed.

Let’s go beyond that.

1 Corinthians 2:16b which is our text today says, “But we have the mind of Christ”, not the mind we are going to have. No. The now mind that we now have.

This is huge. Remember, Christhood is your destiny; it is only by having the mind of Christ that you can drive that destiny. And thank God you have it. You have to now put it to use. Before you do, familiarize yourself with that mind.

Just Do It

• Read through the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) to get acquainted with the Mind of Christ – His Word, Teachings, Actions, Reactions, Reasonings, etc.
• Discipline yourself from henceforth to think like Christ; always from His perspective.
• Ask what would Christ have done? What would Christ have said?
• The Mind of Christ is the Mind from which all of creation took place, the mind from which all the miracles happen; the mind that powered the destiny fulfilling life of our Lord and Master. Yes, that is the very same mind that you have. You are obviously too loaded to fail.

CONFESSION

I have the Mind of Christ, and by It I am transformed into the fullness of Christ.

Today, I manifest Christ to my world in all that I do and everywhere I go. I fulfill my destiny with power and purpose.

Prayers

1. Father, thank You for the gift of the Mind of Christ. Holy Spirit, help me to take full advantage of this blessing today to the glory of the Father, in JESUS’ Name.
