In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
Psalm 18:6-7, 16-17
Make no mistake about it, the enemy does not want you to fulfill destiny. Call it attacks, frustrations, stagnation, delays, scandals, barrenness, unemployment, financial limitations, dryness or whatever. The mission and purpose of the adversary is simply to stop you and nothing more.
One Christ came over 2,000 years and that has remained his worst nightmare to date, imagine how he feels at that thought of millions and billions of Christ being manifested on the earth at the same time. The thought of you attaining the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ; he just cannot stand it. Beloved, this is why he will raise up all kinds of oppositions and create all kinds of storms against you. And note this, when the devil really wants to stop you, he engages forces which he assumes to be stronger than you and then tries to come at you from all angles – what I call the ‘surround assault.’
Understand something, it is all a waste of time. There is nothing satan can muster, that a child of God cannot defeat and mess up because greater is HE that is in you. What you have to do is call for Supernatural assistance.
The Psalmist said, “In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God.” notice something interesting in verse 16, he said “He sent from above (God dispatched a rescue team)”. “He drew me out of many waters.” This is the ‘surround assault’ I spoke about; encompassing problems, multifaceted life threatening and destiny consuming situations. Now watch what happens in verse 17 “He delivered me from my strong enemy… for they (plural) were TOO STRONG for me.” Prayer is the key to commanding Divine assistance. There is no situation so bad and no opposition so strong that with prayer you cannot win. When you pray, Heavens open. When you pray, God intervenes. When you pray, Angels will be released. When you pray, you surrender so God can take over.
