Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
ISAIAH 60:1-3
Every child of God is born an overcomer; every child of God is a victor by destiny. It is in your DNA because you are born of God; you are made of God. Whatsoever is born of God is an overcomer. You are an overcomer; you cannot know defeat. That means what can stop you does not exist. As an overcomer, you are programmed to shine in life. The Word of God attests to that as seen in our opening Scripture. However, there is a point you should not miss; your shining will only happen when you arise. The very first word from the passage is “Arise…” You won`t shine because your light has come, but because you will arise. If you are not shining, it is not because of the devil, it is simply because you are sleeping; until you arise, you will not shine.
LOOK AT THIS – Do you set your wake up alarm to ring at 4:30am and you end up snoozing it at 10 minutes interval until you turn it off and eventually wake up at 6:30am? This is exactly what many people are doing to their lives. For many weeks, months and years, they have been snoozing the alarm of their lives until old age; they failed to arise when they should have. There were seasons in their lives when the alarm of destiny was calling them to action, calling them to wake up, calling them to set goals and run with them but they failed to arise. They slept their way through life by procrastinating, putting the blame on government, their family, their spouse, the society, when that was simply a call to shine.
Until you arise, you won`t have a new story to tell. Until you arise, your destiny will remain unknown. Until you arise, your world will not hear your voice. The day the prodigal son arose, his story changed. He stopped eating with pigs and became a celebrity (Luke 15:18-24). You have a shining destiny; you have slept enough. This is your wake up moment, Arise!
