Make A U-Turn (2)

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

JOB 22:23-29

“Returning to God is a covenant secret that commands a bounce back, anytime, any day. No devil puts you down and comes back to find you there…”

At some points in our lives, we notice a distance between God and us. When you are sensitive to observe this, make a u-turn without delay. The Word of God presents to us the amazing promises and benefits if we return to God. Returning to God means giving attention to consecration and making God your focus in all that concerns you. The Bible says in Job 22:23, “If thou return to the Almighty….”

Verse 24 “….Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the goldof Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

  • One of the fundamental benefits of returning to God, of coming to the place of consecration, of coming to the place of purity, is that you will lay up gold as dust, you will prosper materially. Material prosperity in this Kingdom is accessed on the ticket of consecration. Verse 25 & 26 “Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.”
  • Supernatural protection answers to returning to God; making Him your focus, making Him your everything. When you return, your delight will be in Him; you will always be excited about Him. You delight in spending time with God, in serving Him, in being in His presence, in hearing His Word. Verse 27 “Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and He shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.”
  • Answered prayers are the portion of people who return to God. When you make your prayers, He will hear you. Verse 28 “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”
  • This does not happen to any and every person; there must be a returning to God, staying with God, delighting in God, and consecrating yourself to Him, which now makes God committed to what you decree. Verse 29 “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and He shall save the humble person.”
  • Returning to God brings you to a realm of being unstoppable. No devil puts you down and comes to meet you there; you bounce like a ball.

KNOW THIS – God honours those who return to Him with their hearts, with their thoughts, with everything. Do not rob yourself of these things. Love your life enough to pay attention to the Word. Get focused on His path and His way; the future for you is bright; the future for you is great; the future for you is glorious. Pay the price today, reap the harvest tomorrow.

Just Do It

  • Without any reservation, acknowledge you have sinned against God and pray to God to forgive you.
  • Repent of your indifference towards God and return to your First Love. Return to God in the place of falling in love with the Word of God and fellowship.
  • Delight yourself in the Lord; seek after Him like a lover would go after the one with whom his heart is pleased. We can learn from the Great Psalmist, King David – “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” Psalm 27:4

Prayers

  • Have compassion on me Oh God as I yield myself to You. Let Your strength swallow up my weaknesses and keep me from falling.
