Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land. And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt. But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. Exodus 7:2-4 “The reason that situation has tarried for long, the reason that case has prolonged, the reason that affliction has defied all, is so that the works of God should be made manifest in you.” I have heard people pray all manner of prayers in their quest to obtain victory against the work of the enemy in their lives. But I want to draw your attention to the Word of God to help you understand the reason why it seems like there is a delay in the delivery of your answers. When God visited the nation of Israel, to set them free from the bondage they were in for 430 years, He sent His Servant Moses to tell Pharaoh to let them go so they will serve Him. The Bible records that Pharaoh refused to let them go. The decision not to let God’s people go was very expensive as the entire land of Egypt and its inhabitants had to pay dearly for it. One after the other, the ten plagues came upon the land and people of Egypt in quick succession, but inspite of all the signs Pharaoh had seen by the hand of God, he still refused to let the children of Israel go. The question now is why did he refuse to let them go, even after he saw the terrible judgments that God had brought upon them? The Word tells us that God hardened the heart of Pharaoh, that was the reason why he was adamant; that was the reason why he resisted their freedom; that is why turned deaf ears to the messages he received from God via Moses. God hardened the heart of Pharaoh to make a show of His power. He said, “I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.” God was saying to the enemy, “Your worst arrow is not as good as the least I can do.” God wanted to make a show of how cheap the enemy’s fiery darts are. So, it doesn’t matter how long the enemy has been in force, when your time of deliverance comes, God will make a show out of it. The reason that situation has tarried for long, the reason that case has prolonged, the reason that affliction has defied, all is so that the works of God should be made manifest in you – John 9:3. In other words, God wants to make a show with your testimony. Whatever the enemy has done in your life, God is going to make a show out of it. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. GENESIS 19:17-20 “God’s utmost desire, at all times, is for you to have the best, the best there is.” God never wants us to settle for that which is less than His original plan for us but most often than not, we prefer to settle for less. God’s plan for you is to live in abundance, never in lack. God’s plan for you is that you should always have more than enough and to spare. God’s plan is not for you to be running your expenses on a tight budget. God’s plan is that you live in plenty, not in impoverishment. In the Scripture above, God brought Lot and his family out of the land of Sodom and Gomorrah before He destroyed the cities, and told him (Lot) to escape to the mountain so they won`t be consumed. But Lot said, “I am sorry my Lord, that one is too big for me to handle. I just need a little place where we can manage for a while until this is over. If I go there, something bad might happen to me.” So, Lot obviously knew better than God, Who is the Omniscient, the All-knowing God, Who was in a greater position to him what to do and where to go. Like some people would do, Lot rather settled for something that was little, something he could easily control, what he could define with his senses. And guess what? God did not argue with Lot; He allowed him to go ahead with the choice he had made. Wherever you have found yourself today is a function of the choices you made yesterday. Sometimes, people blame God for the situation they found themselves, meanwhile, it is possible they never sought for God’s direction or even if they did, they chose to follow what they thought was convenient for them, what they could take at the moment. God is telling you go to the topmost top and you are telling Him, the topmost top is too high, I can’t get there. Can you just give me a more comfortable place, something small that I can handle? Lot said, “Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one…”so Lot was going for what was easy, what was near; the goal that seemed easily achievable. That was not God’s agenda for him; God’s agenda was something much bigger. Even so, God’s agenda for you is something much bigger; it is something beyond you and it will only take God to pursue and surmount it. Never settle for something less. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. PROVERBS 28:19 “The work you do makes you relevant and useful to your world.” The work you do is a platform through which you give expression to your life, expression to your worth and expression to your content. What you are doing is a channel God is using to put food on your table. A lot of individuals complain about the work they do. They go to bed complaining about it. When they wake up in the morning, they complain. On their way to work, they complain. Eventually when they get to the office, they still complain. The truth is the problem is not their job, the main issue is their lack of understanding about the purpose of the work they do which has affected their attitude towards the job. When you operate in this manner, you have missed it; that work cannot be a blessing to you, it becomes a curse. Why? Because a curse makes you sweat. Understand this – As someone on this planet, you are useless without work. The work you do makes you relevant and useful to your world; it is a part of master plan for your destiny fulfillment. It therefore means that when you have no work, you cease to exist. People identify you with what you do, so if you are doing nothing, you are of no value to your world because the value of anyone is defined by the person’s work. After graduating from the higher institution, the status of any graduate who is unemployed is ‘Applicant’. For months that sometimes turn into years, they go about job hunting. Some persons end up with lucrative jobs while others engage in menial jobs until they get something better. Why do people look for work and can even go as far as accepting to do anything? It is because work gives you worth. Don’t see what you are doing as a task; see it as a service you are rendering, adding value to your world, so be excited about it. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. GALATIANS 6:9 “Anyone who won’t leave the past, will lose in the battle of destiny.” One of the forces that has crippled billions of destinies all over the world from generation to generation, is what I call the force of your past. It has made many to die untimely death, even while they are yet breathing. It has caused stagnation in a lot of lives; frustrations, limitations, depression, setbacks, hardships. The force of the past has made destined global champions to die as failures. Some of them at best they die as local champions. If there is one prayer point you must never cease to pray for the rest of the months of this year, it is the prayer of deliverance from the forces of your past. Why should you pray after this manner? Why should this be your earnest heart cry? Because the forces of the past often show up when you are about to make progress. The forces of the past show up when you about to ascend your throne. The forces of the past show up when you are aiming high for the top. The forces of the past show up when you are on your way to the next phase of destiny. The forces of the past show up when you are about to scale that hurdle. Anyone that will not leave the past, will lose his life – Genesis 19:17. When we talk about losing your life, it is not necessarily a physical death; it is that your destiny is dead; your future is dead; you have stopped to exist. That means from that time on, your story can only be about your yesterday. There are too many yesterday people. How do you know a yesterday man? All he has to say is about yesterday; the good old days, who he was; who his grandfather was. But currently, he has nothing to show. In this second half of 2023, that will not be your story, in the Mighty Name of JESUS. Right there in verse 26 of our main Scripture reference, a disaster happened to Lot’s wife; she turned into a pillar of salt because she disobeyed an instruction from the Lord. The question is, why did she look back? She knew what was at stake. She was told the consequences; she knew that her life will go. The forces of her past called her, at first she ignored it but it got so strong that finally, she turned to answer, and that is where she signed out on destiny’s time book. When the forces of her past called her, she was running for her life, she was aiming for her destiny, she was going for her throne. In the months and years ahead of you, the forces of the past will come calling – past achievements, past failures, past disappointments, missed opportunities, lost blessings, etc. May you never answer the call to your past; the call to yesterday. GALATIANS 6:9 “Uncommon successes do consistently what others do occasionally.” Many years ago, I found out that flying high in life is a function of the height and depth of your understanding. Every high flyer is simply giving expression to some height and some depth of understanding that he has. And I have also discovered that there is just a thin line that differentiates the normal from the extra-ordinary and very few people have come to this realization. When you come in contact with that height or depth of understanding, and not just stop at the level of awareness but you begin to act accordingly, so many things will change around you. One of such is consistency. Uncommon successes do consistently what others do occasionally. It is not unusual to find that there are people who do what uncommon successes are doing but are not getting results. And even if they get the results, they never get to cross the line to be classified as extra-ordinary. The reason is not farfetched; they are not doing it the way they should do it. For instance, statistics have shown that successful people wake up at the same time everyday. They are committed to routines. It is not enough to do what you should do but doing it how you should do it. JESUS was an early riser. The Bible says in Mark 1:35 – “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” And yes, He was an uncommon achiever of all times. The results and impact He made on the earth within the short period of time He lived is unmatchable. Do you want to make the uncommon happen in your time? Stay on the path of consistency and you will have results to show. Unstable or inconsistent people do not excel – Genesis 39:4. They take a step today and by the following week, they go back to level 1. It takes discipline to be consistent and it takes consistency to produce daring results. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. JOHN 6:38 “Getting to your destination will be impossible until you learn to pay zero attention to the things that do not matter.” A typical meeting has an agenda in which different activities are outlined – from the opening prayer to reading of previous minutes and so on. All of these activities are by the way, there is usually the main reason for the meeting, why the meeting was convened in the first place; it is called “Business of the Day”. This is when the main issues are being deliberated upon. Every other thing can be left untouched but the Business of the Day must be dealt with for the meeting to achieve its purpose. Even so it is in life; there is the real purpose for your existence, it is the Business of the Day. There are things that you get yourself involved in that do not really count; they are classified as Matters Arising or Reading of Previous Minutes. They are part of the agenda of your life but none of them constitute the main reason why you are on earth. Let’s go down memory lane, back to the days when you were in secondary school. There were different clubs in school – Debaters’ Club, Science Club, etc. Maybe you were the number one debater for the school, or you were into sports, or you were the school prefect and so you got very busy with all of these activities. The truth is, the purpose of going to school was not any of these, what was crucial when you left school was the number of credit passes you had in the final examination. Was your mind transformed? Did you actually receive an education? The other activities you got involved in are called extra-curricular activities; they do not constitute the Business of the Day. The Business of the Dayis the transformation of your mind. There is no job you will get for being the school prefect. It is even possible that the reason you had an ‘F’ was because you allowed the extra-curricular activities to distract you; they got into your head. There are many things that do not count, which will not add up at the end of the day. The day you stand before your Maker, they won`t matter at all. May you not be one of those who will tell stories, meanwhile you would have blown it big on this side of Jordan. Let me remind you before you forget: this is your life, it is not a rehearsal and you have only one shot to make it count. It is time to get more focused on the path of purpose and make your destiny happen. Receive grace to run, in the Name of JESUS. BEWARE OF DESTINY STOPPERS He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.  Proverbs 13:20  “The greatest gift you can give to any man in your life is the gift of access. Do it with the highest discretion.” By God’s design, man was created for interdependency. No man is made to succeed alone. Even JESUS while on earth could not succeed in His earthly ministry without men. In His most desperate moment at the garden of Gethsemane, one of His greatest cries was for men who would watch with Him. Two men may find themselves in the same kind of challenging situation but the truth remains that the quality of people in their lives will determine if they will come out of that situation or sink by it. Friend, there will be times in your life when all you need to break through, scale new heights, succeed in life and make the right choices in the face of life threatening issues will be the quality of the company you keep. A wise man once said, you will remain where you are today in the next five years except you watch the company you keep. If you are not challenged to improve the quality of your life by the time you are done talking with your friends, you are in a wrong company. If what you discuss when you are in the company of your friends are vain and carnal things, you are in a wrong company. Wrong friends will stop you from making progress. Their singular assignment is to pull you out of the faith and make a shipwreck of your destiny. Check it, every successful man in this kingdom are men of few but highly productive and valuable friendships. This is your life, it is not a rehearsal; start choosing your friends wisely knowing that your life can never be better than the level of the company you keep. It’s a new day for you! Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. PROVERBS 4:13  “Obeying God’s instruction is about a practical demonstration of your submission to the authority of God and when you submit to His authority, He compels all other things to submit to you as well.” Divine instruction is whatever God commands you to do or not to do; however God commands you to live or not to live. It is God’s wisdom delivered to you for your best interest both in time and eternity. It is God’s principal tool for delivering, guiding, protecting, promoting, prospering and glorifying you on the earth. Proverbs 8:10 tells us that instruction is of greater value than silver. So even if someone appears with $1billion and you have to choose between that and Divine instruction, you will be a disaster happening if you decide to go for the silver. You can get it today and it evaporates tomorrow. What you need is instruction; you do not need the silver. When you go after Divine instruction, the silver will find you. What gives you access to Divine instruction? God’s word is the primary source of Divine instruction. Whatever God commands in His Word is an instruction. Anytime you study the Word of God and you come across what God commands, it is not optional; it is in your best interest. To begin to reason and downplay on Divine instructions is to make a mess of your life and die a failure. That is not your portion, you won`t fail, in the Mighty Name of JESUS. Submit yourself to Divine direction. To receive divine instruction, you must suspend your brain and not think. Many miss it because God’s instruction many times does not make sense. The key to succeeding is OBEDIENCE. You must simply learn to obey every single instruction you receive from God for it to profit you. Make up your mind to follow God the rest of your days and watch Him take you from the ground and set you among princes. Do you want to fulfill destiny? Go for Divine instruction. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.   LUKE 5:4 “You are always an instruction away from your desired miracle.” Nothing opens up your way for destiny fulfillment in this life like receiving and obeying God’s instructions. Whatever you want to achieve in life; whatever height you want to attain, there are Divine instructions that can guarantee your undeniable success. Whether you want to be great, rich, wealthy or famous there are Divine instructions that can cause that dream to be actualized. Divine instructions provide direction and certainly bring about progress. In Deuteronomy 2:3, God said – “Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.” Until instructions came, they were going round circles year in, year out; month in, month out; struggling to make progress. But when instruction came, stagnation took a flight, failure disappeared and what seemed like a mountain became the stepping stone to a greater future. Peter received an instruction in Luke 5:4 and failure was overturned. By receiving and obeying Divine instruction, Peter achieved what was hitherto impossible. Before the instruction came, Peter was unable to catch even one fish. Maybe in your case, you have not had patronage or business contracts since this month or year began, all that can change with just one instruction. Peter was fishing all night in the same water, with the same boat, the same net, with the same skills but caught nothing. God showed up, gave him just one instruction and all the fishes in the sea responded. We fly high by instructions. Take heed to God’s instruction and see your life experience a turnaround. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. PSALMS 32:8 – 9 “Your struggles in life notwithstanding, until God takes over the driver’s seat in the vehicle of your destiny, your destiny flight will never arrive at its designed destination.” The reason why some people die struggling is simply because they lived their lives trying to work out things for themselves. They gamble and labour all through life to find a bearing but never get round it. But hear me: a man of Divine direction knows it is not about him, it is about the One who is taking him there. Let’s expound on what it means to be Divinely directed. Imagine that you were travelling to another city or country and your driver is the Almighty God. He is the one handling the steering wheel while you occupy the passenger’s seat. Can you close your eyes and just visualize that in your mind? That means – You have nothing to worry about; you are secured. You are not going at human speed; you are moving at Godspeed. You have entered into rest; you have ceased from all your struggles. I don’t know how far you can go without Divine direction. You have struggled enough to make yourself, that’s why you are failing so badly. Until God makes you, you are not made; so, allow Him to make you and you will be made. So, as a new month opens up tomorrow, surrender your all to Him and let Him take the wheel of your life and you will be singing a new song from today.
